Antique RPM Gauge
Antique RPM Gauge
RPM Gauge, masonite, antique print, metal ring, wood trim, paint
20 1/2" ht. x16 1/2" w. x 3" d.

"RPM" stands for "Revolutions Per Minute". This beauty was designed at a time when it was normal for functional objects to be as lovely and appealing as a non-functional decoration. The back side of this device is just as pretty. There is a large medallion on the rear of the counter dial you cannot see that I used for the large circle dominating the piece. This gauge is used by putting the small end on shaft of the motor to determine the number of rotations and simultaneously, the speed.
